Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, is a tragic villain originating from DC Comics' Batman stories. He was first introduced in Detective Comics #66 (August 1942).
Before his disfigurement, Harvey Dent was Gotham City's district attorney and a close ally of Batman. He was known for his integrity and dedication to justice, earning him the nickname "Apollo."
Dent's transformation into Two-Face occurred when a mob boss threw acid at him during a trial. The attack scarred half of his face, leading to a severe psychological breakdown and a split personality. He now makes decisions based on the flip of a scarred coin, one side clean and the other defaced.
As Two-Face, Dent is a criminal mastermind driven by duality and chance. His crimes often reflect this dichotomy, with decisions and actions determined by the outcome of his coin toss. His motivations are complex, fluctuating between his former ideals and his twisted sense of justice and vengeance.
